Create your own DIY star dish

The festive season is the perfect time to unleash your inner creativity. Try this simple DIY to add your own personal touch to your dinning table or kitchen bench. This star dish is perfect for laying out wrapped sweets or treats to excite your guests or fill with homemade biscuits for an easy gift.

Step One:

To get started, you’ll need to find a star-shaped wooden box – size doesn’t matter here, so feel free to follow your own taste. We went ahead with a smaller star and chose to use British Paints Secret Blue. Once you’ve chosen a colour, prepare to paint by protecting your surfaces with a drop sheet or newspaper.

Step Two:

Simply paint all over the star with the colour of your choice. Alternatively, stencil patterns or drawings with a pencil before adding colour to the wood. Don’t be afraid to bring out your inner-artist – have fun!
